The Church at Christmas
The church works in close partnership with Chop Gate C of E school where they host leavers services, christingles and harvest festivals and Easter services .
St Hilda's is loved and cared for and centre of the community and attracts many visitors. The churchyard hosts daffodils, wild flowers, bluebells, hare bells and is an haven for wild animals, birds and insects. There is a small animals and insect hotel made of twigs, branches and leaves.
Services have diversified in recent years to attract families eg lambing, toy, pet services to name a few. St Hilda's hosts Christmas tree festivals, concerts and bygone displays. The church is also part of the St Hilda's trail from Whitby .
The church is locked but there is a notice in the porch stating where a key can be sought.
